About Toni Feeney

My name is Toni Feeney and I created this website to share my collection of Simply Best Recipes from family and friends around the world. As stated in my Home Page, I've been living and working around the globe since I was 21 years old and I found a place to share my passion for cooking with you.

Besides cooking and recipes, my other passions are gardening and travelling. My husband,Brian, and I have travelled the globe near and far, and now with our children living in several different cities - we get to visit them and their families in wonderful places: the Mother Lode Gold Country of California, beautiful Hawaii, lovely Southern California, and exotic Singapore.

I have worked as a secretary (now they call them Personal Assistants) for many years in the fields of law, construction, travel, banking, advertising; and in the hospitality industry as travel agent and I was the owner and manager of a Bed and Breakfast Inn in Northern England for 14 years. My first job in Europe was as secretary to the famous economist, Gunnar Myrdal at the University of Stockholm, Sweden, which to say the least, was an experience in itself!

Brian was in the engineering and construction industry for most of his working life and we have been fortunate to travel to far-away and exotic places wherever his jobs took us. Living the "expat" life has enabled me to meet such wonderful people from all over the world and from diverse backgrounds; and with their sharing of some of these dishes and with recipes that have been in our families for generations, I am building this cookbook for all of you to enjoy!
